Body Language 101

Body language and posing in photography can make a huge difference in the final outcome of a photo. The way a person holds themselves, the angles of their body, and the expressions on their face can all communicate different emotions and messages. It can be a lot of fun to play around with different poses to see how they change the overall feel of a photograph.

As a photographer, it is my job to not only make sure you look your best, but to also to guide you through the process of posing. Posing can be a bit intimidating for some people, especially if they aren't used to being in front of the camera (selfies count!) That's why I like to take the time to walk my clients through each pose and make sure they feel comfortable and confident. It's my duty to not only make sure you are comfortable, but to also make sure you understand the step-by-step methods necessary to showcase who you are on camera. Whether you're looking for a more serious and professional look, or something more fun and playful, I'll work with you to create the perfect shot.

One of the things I enjoy about photography is the ability to play with different poses and see how they can change the overall feel of a photograph. It’s almost common knowledge that crossing your arms gives off a defensive or non-approachable vibe, whereas leaning forward can let people know that you’re interested in hearing what they have to say or that you are willing to connect.

Working with clients to find the perfect pose that fits their personality and the message they want to convey is pretty cool to me. Plus, it's just plain fun to experiment and play with different poses! 🤸🏾 (not a real pose)*

So, if you're looking for the photographer to help you capture your perfect shot and guide you through the fun process of posing, you’ve found her. Book with Out The Frame and let's make some magic happen! 📸
